Durable paddles for the discerning raftguide

  We have started production of a professional quality guide paddle, designed with the help of some of the best guides in the business. After testing prototypes in daily use, we are confident that we are making a tough product that will provide many years of service. Guidesticks are available in 2 blade sizes; standard (21cm x 46cm) or large (21cm x 62cm). Our guidesticks boast a number of features not found in other products;

Powder coated shaft
Our standard aluminium shafts are powder coated white for a durable, non chip surface. Maple wood shafts, reinforced with a carbon fibre wrap are also available.
Kevlar^TM reinforced blade
The outer layers of the blade are reinforced with 2 layers of woven Kevlar^TM fibre and epoxy resin for superior abrasion and crack resistance. Printed logos can be incorporated into the layup at no extra cost.
Integrated tip
The aluminium tip to the paddle is welded directly to the end of the high grade aluminium shaft for improved paddle integrity.

Aluminium T grip
Welded directly to the end of the high grade aluminium shaft, these are our standard option and eliminate problems with water ingress and T grips coming loose.

Wooden T grip
Each wooden shaft is finished with an individually crafted T grip of a contrasting timber type. These are attached securely with an ovalled mortise and tenon joint. These will easily stand up to the stresses of re-flipping a raft using the T grip hooked into the outside line!

 Our standard construction uses a clear resin, giving the blades the yellow colour of natural Kevlar^TM. Coloured blades are available on request, but are slightly heavier and incur an additional charge. The total length of a finished guidestick is 164cm, other lengths are also available on request, as are alternative shaft colours, blade thicknesses, materials, etc. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
